Sleeping through the night!
We finally moved Isaac to his nursery about 10 days ago. It took A LOT of convincing on Charlie's part before I was finally able to do it. I felt so bad leaving him all alone so far away from me (even though it is only about a 5 second dash from my bed to his crib).
The first night was tough. I was paranoid that I wouldn't hear him when he cried. And I didn't. Charlie actually had to wake me up! After that my ears became tuned to those far away sounds as opposed to his live and in person grunts that had previously been right next to our bed. For the next few nights I woke up about a million times and kept walking down the hall to check on him for no reason at all. I just wanted to make sure he was still there I guess.
Sure enough, he started waking up less and less during the night. Or in other words, I started hearing him less and less. For the past two nights he has slept 10 hours straight! It has been so nice to get a full nights sleep (even though I do still occasionaly wander down the hall at some odd hour).
And as for Isaac... it turns out he doesn't really like being swaddled. No matter how tight I wrap him up at night, this is what I find in the morning:

Cracker has been sleeping longer too. He used to jump out of bed and be so excited to go on his morning walk with Charlie. Now he is just lazy and refuses to get out of his bed in the morning!

Getting Bigger
Isaac is growing fast! He is a little over six weeks old now. On Monday we went to visit his new baby cousin in the hospital. She seemed so tiny next to Isaac. We can't believe how much he's grown.
Here he is at 3 days old...
And now six weeks later....
He's also developing a bad habit of only wanting to turn his head to the left. Forget about the toys hanging over his head, he'd rather turn and watch the arm of the swing!

Good Morning
I've started taking Isaac on a walk every morning. I must admit, this is more for my benefit than his (I still have some baby weight to lose), but it turns out he loves it too! We walk about 4 miles and he usually sleeps through most of it. I think the vibration of the stroller puts him to sleep. But when he wakes up he is always happy.
He is smiling more and more these days. It is really fun to have him actually smiling at US!

Isaac's Blessing at Church
On Sunday, we blessed Isaac at church. (In our church, instead of baptism, we bless the child as infants and when they are 8 years old- they are baptized.)
After the blessing at church, we had a brunch at our home with lots of family including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Here is Isaac in his blessing outfit.
Here is a picture of the grandparents. (Strans on the left, Woods on the right)
Carrie, her Aunt Janet, and Charlie eating brunch.
