Sleeping through the night!

We finally moved Isaac to his nursery about 10 days ago. It took A LOT of convincing on Charlie's part before I was finally able to do it. I felt so bad leaving him all alone so far away from me (even though it is only about a 5 second dash from my bed to his crib).

The first night was tough. I was paranoid that I wouldn't hear him when he cried. And I didn't. Charlie actually had to wake me up! After that my ears became tuned to those far away sounds as opposed to his live and in person grunts that had previously been right next to our bed. For the next few nights I woke up about a million times and kept walking down the hall to check on him for no reason at all. I just wanted to make sure he was still there I guess.

Sure enough, he started waking up less and less during the night. Or in other words, I started hearing him less and less. For the past two nights he has slept 10 hours straight! It has been so nice to get a full nights sleep (even though I do still occasionaly wander down the hall at some odd hour).

And as for Isaac... it turns out he doesn't really like being swaddled. No matter how tight I wrap him up at night, this is what I find in the morning:

Cracker has been sleeping longer too. He used to jump out of bed and be so excited to go on his morning walk with Charlie. Now he is just lazy and refuses to get out of his bed in the morning!

Ethan had to convince me to get Camilla in her own room too! And It was the best thing ever! Its SO nice when they start sleeping all night isn't it!? I guess we should count ourselves lucky, because many others that I have talked to said their babies didn't start sleeping through the night until 10 months or later. I don't know how they did it!? Did you use the Baby Wise book or something similar to it to get Isaac sleeping through the night? I can't remember if you have told us that or not.

Congratulations on a full nights sleep! I am sure life is better with that, we are almost there. I love the picture of Cracker too!
